The BMW 5 Series: The All-Rounder from Germany

I know Germany isn’t known for being a cricket nation, so perhaps its best for me to use a football analogy that works along the parallels of Germany: Football. The 5-Series in my eyes is seen as the box-to-box midfielder which often goes unnoticed compared to its higher end counterparts in the form of the M5 and M6 respectively. The WesBank South African Car of the Year finalist is very impressive, considering the price and features you get. Needless to say, the model we had on the day was fitted with all the luxury-line extras which made for a pleasurable day of driving and filming. Sheer Driving Pleasure can take place even if you are not behind the wheel

BMW and Shell V-Power host record-breaking Festival at Kyalami

The BMW M Festival took place over the weekend of the 21st/22nd October 2018 at the Kyalami Race Track. This was the first time the event was brought to South African soil and Johannesburg really put the event on the mark; breaking the record for the biggest BMW M Festival ever hosted by the M Brand. The previous record was held by Japan, attracting 6 000 visitors – South Africa attracted 20 000 visitors over the course of the weekend.

Test drives, hot laps, a pop-up dealership and music performances were just a few of the attractions over a weekend dedicated to the love of motoring and, more importantly, the BMW M Brand. Test drive registration started early on Saturday morning with the spots being filled up just ninety minutes (Yes. Ninety!) into the festival’s official start time of 10:00AM Local Time.
